SwimSwam published their Olympic Trials preview of the 400 Freestyle today and [iX3]’s Charlie Houchin features prominently in the mix:
“But ‘potential’ is the name of the game in this 400; there’s a big group of swimmers that are waiting to break out, and whoever takes 2nd in this race will probably qualify as a ‘surprise.’ It really isn’t one of the better races in the men’s meet on paper, but because of that under-the-radar feeling, and the ages of the contenders, there is the potential for some excitement here.
Among them is, of course, Charlie Houchin, who was the other American representative in this race at last year’s World Championships.”
“Of course, Charlie Houchin.”
Looking forward to a fantastic race in Omaha.
This is why we wake up each day.
The opportunity, the challenge, the journey.
Look who showed up on SwimSwam’s UltraSwim 360 Video Tour!
[iX3]sports athlete, Fabiola Molina qualified for her third Olympic Game by posting a 1:00.74 100 meter backstroke as she won the event at the 2012 Maria Lenk Trophy in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. This is a fantastic accomplishment for Fabiola and stands as a testament to not only her ability as an athlete, but the qualities of her character which have helped her maintain her position as one of the top female backstroke swimmers over the past 12 years.
[iX3]sports’ Charlie Houchin captured 3rd in the 200 Free at the Indy Grand Prix with a great finish to get his hand on the wall ahead of Michael Klueh and David Walters. Charlie was joined in Indy by [iX3]’s Diogo Yabe and Pablo Marmolejo.
